Stephenson Equipment, Inc (SEI), an industry leader in Pennsylvania and New York providing sales, rentals, parts and service for construction equipment, cranes, paving, road building and road maintenance equipment, has an immediate need for Field Service Technician in our Syracuse, NY location.

This position will work both in our shop as well as on the road to repair equipment on customer job sites.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Diagnose, repair, and overhaul mechanical and pneumatic equipment such as backhoes, grader, wheel loaders, skid steers, milling machines, and pavers used in the construction industry.
• Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufactures' specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating, on equipment and vehicles.
• Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools.
• Adjust, maintain, and repair or replace sub-assemblies such as transmission and crawler heads using hand tools, jacks, and cranes.

The best fit to our team will have:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Continued education with a technical school is a plus
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to lift 50lbs with an occasional lift of up to 100lbs with assistance of a crane
